Finger Circumference Measurement

You will need:

  • A strip of paper (preferably 5.0 mm)
  • Fine tip pen
  • Ruler

You are required to wrap this strip of paper around the base of your desired finger. In addition, you need to ensure the paper is pulled tight to your finger to ensure result accuracy. Use a fine tip pen and put a mark on the paper where it meet itself.

Lastly, place the strip of paper flat on a ruler. Round it up to millimeter. Use your result and refer to the sizing table.

MEASURE THE DIAMETER OF RING

You will need:

  • A ring that fits your desired finger
  • Ruler

For this option, simply pick a ring that fits well on your finger, lay it flat on the ruler.

Measure the widest area of the band from inner edge to the other inner edge.

Lastly, round it to the closest whole number in millimeter and refer to the sizing chart for your ring size.

How to take a concealed ring measurement

──────────────────

Are you getting your significant other a surprise gift or an engagement ring? These are our best suggestions for determining their ring size covertly.

Consult a friend or relative

You can discreetly find out your significant other's ring size by subtly asking or by checking if they already know it. It's a thoughtful way to ensure the perfect fit for their special ring.

Measure a ring that already exists

Why not take a covert measurement of the finger in question if they already have a ring on it? You have two options: print our ring size guide and measure the ring on your own, or take it to a jeweler to have it measured.

Measure Finger While Asleep

While it may be a little more difficult, you can measure your sleeping partner's finger with a piece of twine. Simply loop it around your ring finger and secure with a knot. Next, compare it to our ring size guide using the string.

Ring measuring tips and tricks

──────────────────

Here are our top tips and tricks to remember when measuring ring size.

Temperature

The skin swells in hot weather and contracts in cold weather. Therefore, thinking about this before measuring is a smart idea.

Weight gain or loss

The ring's fit can change with weight fluctuations, feeling either tighter or looser. This factor is important to keep in mind when selecting your ring size.

Comfort

Take into account how simple it is to fit onto your finger and give it permission to expand or contract in response to temperature changes.

Time

Since fingers are larger in the evening than they are in the morning, this is the ideal time of day to measure ring size.
